| The difference in acid value between two resins in a blend can serve as a very reliable gloss determinating property. |
Precise gloss control of powder coatings is a major issue, especially since TGIC-free formulations have made this task more difficult. However, detailed structure-property analyses of blends of polyester-ß-hydroxyalkylamide systems bsed on different, incompatible resins reveal, that the difference in acid value between the two resins in the blends can serve as a very reliable gloss determinating property.
