LANCOME’S NEW PACKAGING STARTS WITH EASTAR COPOLYESTER
11 July 2002 - Eastman Chemical Company

Lancome of Paris, part of the L’Oreal Group has developed fresh new packaging for its Tonique Confort and Tonique Clarte lotions.

Lancome of Paris, part of the L’Oreal Group has developed fresh new packaging for its Tonique Confort and Tonique Clarte lotions.

Lancome was looking for a resin for the cap that enhanced the fresh, clean image of the lotions and selected Eastman Chemical Company’s Eastar copolyester because it was easy to decorate, shows excellent clarity, provides a durable, smooth glossy finish, and has the required mechanical resistance to screw the cap on the lotion container. Eastar copolyester’s processing ease allowed MAYET (Pierre de Bresse, France) and SAF (Blotzheim, France) to demonstrate its technical expertise in developing and producing the cap in a 12-cavity tool equipped with a hot-runner system.
