ULTRA-THIN FASTENERS FOR GOOD-LOOKING DISPLAYS
11 December 2002 - 3M Europe
| New 3M Scotchmate Thin Hook and Loop Fasteners are an elegant, lightweight fastening solution, designed for various applications from exhibition assembly, conference promotional panels and point-of-sale displays, to general office and shop use. |
A simple, but highly effective and reliable alternative to traditional mechanical systems such as bolts, rivets, snaps and hooks, they ensure that even the most inexperienced will achieve a professional result. Scotchmate Thin Hook and Loop Fasteners enable a wide variety of lightweight materials such as graphics, light panels, curtains and product pockets, to be easily and securely attached to a variety of surfaces - wood (including sealed surfaces), glass, bare metals, most plastic and foams. The result is ‘good looking’ displays with minimum effort. Approximately a quarter of the thickness of the original Scotchmate Hook and Loop Fasteners, the new ultra-thin, lightweight fasteners have been specifically developed for light duty applications. Its Hook and Loop design eliminates the need for a loop tape fastener and provides users with consistently clean lines and smooth profiles for a quality finish. Once bonded, the fastener’s pressure sensitive adhesive provides high resistance to fluctuating temperature and humidity levels. This is a new addition to 3M’s comprehensive range of fasteners that includes standard thickness 3M Scotchmate Hook and Loop Fasteners, 3M Dual Lock Fasteners and Dual Lock Thin Reclosable Fasteners for heavier duty items that need to be repositioned frequently and maintain a secure hold.
