Following the successful use of Eastman Chemical Company’s Eastar copolyester in the packaging for the first version of Rush fragrance by Gucci, the material was again specified for the startling pink transparent housing for the new Rush 2.

The challenge was to achieve the surface flatness and square shape of the Rush 2 housing without warpage or sink marks, a task in which Eastar copolyester and moulder MT Packaging succeeded brilliantly. The copolyester provides a durable, high-quality surface with excellent chemical and scratch resistance, making the material an automatic choice for fragrance housings. The material also accepts ultrasonic welding processes, allowing the assembly of the bottom element. And the ease with which it can be decorated is another key benefit for this application.
