Akzo Nobel Chemicals in the United States has won a major supplier award for the fifth year in a row. The company's Agro Applications business has received Monsanto Corporation's 2004 Supplier Quality Award, which was presented to only 12 recipients out of its 3,000 suppliers. "This is a prestigious award and I'm very proud of the excellent work done by our employees who interact with Monsanto and/or support the supply and services we offer them all over the world," said Alberto Slikta, business manager of Akzo Nobel's Agro Applications business. "Despite the fact that the award is given in the USA, any problem in any region would have taken us out of the competition."
