Advantech launched the Embedded Windows Ready Platform to provide a complete set of components for rapid prototyping, application development and demonstration of Windows XP Embedded applications. No need to waste time and energy developing on-board device drivers or using embedded OS authoring tools like Target Designer to build a custom Windows XP Embedded image. Advantech has done that for you! All you have to do is to develop your application. It is important to understand that Windows XP Embedded is a stripped down version of standard XP, with additional embedded feature enhancements. Therefore every Windows XP Embedded production normally requires integration service. Our Windows XP Embedded Evaluation Platforms are provided to the customer as a starting point to evaluate the Windows XP Embedded in a small footprint. It can't be guaranteed to run existing customer application seamlessly. To get an idea whether an existing application can run on Windows XP Embedded, the customer is encouraged to evaluate an existing application with our Evaluation Platforms. Once it proves OK, the customer can apply for a Design Service at a very reasonable development cost to reduce the total cost of ownership.
