ADVANTECH IS CERTIFIED AS SONY'S GREEN PARTNER
Advantech, the world leading ePlatform service provider focuses not only on technology solutions but also environmental conservation policies, which are included in its daily operation. Advantech's commitment toward environmental protection corresponds with Sony's Green procurement policy and Advantech is certified as Sony's Green Partner in 2004. Advantech, as a good corporate citizen, implements an environmental policy into its daily operation and strictly complies with relevant laws and regulations. In the design and production stages, Advantech follows the 3 "R" rules, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, as its management methodology. Advantech also continuously initiates and promotes environmental improvement activities both internally and with external suppliers. Advantech's effort is recognized by Sony, therefore its Hsien-Tien EPC factory is certified as compliant with Sony's Green Partner Program. Sony established the "Sony Environmental Vision" scheme to form the basis for proactive actions to conserve the environment and create a sustainable society. Sony not only closely monitors and manages chemical substances used in its products, but also designates suppliers that cooperate in the production of environmentally safe products as Green Partners. Suppliers should follow Sony's detailed flowchart and requirements before being certified as a Green Partner. It must also review its Green Partner approval every two years.
