Advantech's worldwide revenue reached US$81 million in Q1 2004, a 32% increase over the same period in 2003. The growth of eAutomation products in Q1 was up by 23% (US$16.2 million), while ePlatform products' Q1 revenue accounted for US$ 62.5 million, an increase of 33% .By regions, the U.S., China and Europe contributed the majority of the revenue growth while South Asia Pacific area also showed outstanding growth.

Advantech has achieved some significant project wins, which was attributed to Advantech's focus on its core competence. For example, Advantech's Intelligent Transportation System team has successfully developed control and monitoring systems for freeways and MRTs in Taiwan and Mainland China. In the internet security platforms, Advantech supported a global antivirus leader in introducing a revolutionary outbreak prevention appliance for business enterprises to address leading threat to network security.
