Premier Material Concepts has given point-of-purchase displays a new facelift by providing an extruded high-impact polystyrene (HIP) for use in thermoforming innovative presentations.

Premier Material Concepts has given seasonal holidays - and point-of-purchase displays - a new facelift by providing an extruded high-impact polystyrene (HIP) for use in thermoforming innovative presentations such as the large pumpkin currently in stores around the USA as part of a national promotion by a major brand soft drink.

By using a HIPS sheet the thermoformer was able to produce a flexible but firm product. This was important because the pumpkin is used in conjunction with a cooler that will be placed inside to hold cold beverages.

PMC also matched the orange colour requested by the moulder and added a haircell textured finish to make the product more realistic looking.
