NEW HIGH-CURRENT DEVICES OFFER DCR FROM 0.6 MΩ TO 25.5 MΩ, HANDLE CURRENTS FROM 16 A TO 118 A
07 March 2003 - Vishay Electronic

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. today announced a new series of low-profile, high-current inductors with low DCR values and low losses at frequencies up to 5 MHz. This latest addition to the IHLP family of compact surface-mount inductors is designed to provide a higher-performing, power- and space-saving solution for dc-to-dc converter and energy storage applications in end products including computers, servers, telecom, and automotive electronics.

The Vishay Dale IHLP-5050EZ-01 features the industry's best combination of high rated current and very low maximum DCR values within a small, surface-mount package.

The IHLP-5050EZ-01's self-shielded package measures just 0.508 in. (12.9 mm) by 0.520 in. (13.2 mm), with a height profile of 0.197 in. (5.0 mm). The inductor's high saturation current ranges from 16 A to 118 A, and its maximum DCR values range from 0.6 mΩ to 25.5 mΩ.

Standard inductance values range from 0.10 µH to 10 µH, with a tolerance of ±20%. At full rated current, the IHLP devices feature an inductance drop of less than 20% - a lower inductance roll-off than is provided by ferrite materials.

Devices in the patented IHLP-5050EZ-01 series meet military specifications for resistance to thermal shock, moisture, mechanical shock, and vibration.

Samples and production quantities are available now. Lead time for production quantities is eight weeks.
