BCCOMPONENTS LAUNCHES 140 CLH HIGH TEMPERATURE SMD ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR
01 February 2001 - Vishay Electronic

In direct response to customer demands for high specification passive components that can cope with ever-higher temperature ranges whilst remaining reliable, BCcomponents today announced a new SMD electrolytic capacitor, the 140 CLH.

In direct response to customer demands for high specification passive components that can cope with ever-higher temperature ranges whilst remaining reliable, BCcomponents today announced a new SMD electrolytic capacitor, the 140 CLH.

A range of applications are set to benefit from the product's introduction, from mobile telephone network infrastructure, to engine management and ABS systems, as well as domestic applications such as ovens.

The 140 CLH can be used in environments where product reliability must be maintained at temperatures of up to 150 °C for short periods (useful life is up to 1500 hours at 125 °C). Alternatively, the 140 CLH can be used for effective filtering, buffering or smoothing voltages in applications where very long lifetimes at over 10 years at 60 °C are required.

BCcomponents' latest electrolytic capacitor has a short lead-time of just 6 weeks, helping to reduce stockpiling and changes in logistics. Samples can be supplied within 3 to 20 days, depending on type. Design-in support and customised product development is also available.

The 140 CLH contributes to reduced production costs. As an SMD product, it requires fewer board assembly process steps compared to the equivalent through-hole product. Its high performance in a small case size also means that costs can be reduced by using fewer or smaller capacitors.
