A pair of clock oscillators featuring a 3.3-V input voltage and a1-MHz to 70-MHz frequency range was announced today by Vishay Intertechnology.

The new Vishay Dale devices feature TTL and HCMOS compatibility, plus a tri-state feature that allows the output to be placed into a high-impedance state. Both standard and industrial temperature ranges are available with two through-hole hermetically-sealed package options: 14-pin DIP (XO-543) and half-size 8-pin DIP (XO-523).

The new oscillators will provide clock signal sources for digital ICs and microprocessors in low-power applications including computers, portable peripherals, and communications equipment. Typical input currents for the XO-543 and XO-523 rangefrom 10 mA to 30 mA, with rise and fall times of10 ns maximum. A ±100-ppm frequency stability over operating temperature range is standard, with ±25 ppm and ±50 ppm also available

"The addition of these new oscillators to the Vishay product line broadens our frequency control products offering and thus the options available to designers, " said Mike Husman, Director of Product Marketing, Inductors, Thermistors, Crystals, and Oscillators.

Samples and production quantities of the XO-543 and XO-523 are available now, with lead times of 8 weeks for larger orders.
