Almost 20 different systems in non-pressure underground drainage and sewerage systems are offered today. All these systems are based on enhanced PP raw materials. Borealis PP products for underground drainage and sewerage are specifically developed to exceed by a wide margin material requirements according to European standardisation. Both materials BA212E and BC50 are first class products and have proven their performance accordingly. In particular the new draft amendment to the European Standard for smooth solid wall systems, EN 1852, which foresees a Tensile Modulus of 1700 MPa or higher, according to ISO 527-2, will make BC50 even more competitive. Furthermore, the European Standard for structured wall systems, prEN 13476, is about to be implemented at national level, and large diameter PP solutions for structured wall pipes up to 1000mm are just one result. Today, stiff PP systems offer very economical solutions regarding lowest pipe weight per meter by reducing wall thickness.
