ARISTOMIG OFFERS OPTIMUM WELDING SOLUTIONS
16 July 2004 - ESAB Group

Introduction of the new ESAB AristoMig 400 and 500 welding sets provides fabricators with the ideal solution for welded assembly of highly specified components using high alloyed materials. As well as a maximum operating radius of 35 meters, without encountering arc voltage drop, the units offer a wide range of configuration and control options for MIG/MAG, pulse MIG, MMA and carbon arc gouging.

The power sources use inverter IGBT technology to supply excellent welding characteristics and high reliability. Similarly a CAN-bus system is used to minimise control cabling requirements and maximise functional performance. These innovative electronic features are protected within an equally innovative Alutech extruded aluminium chassis/IP23 enclosure; this features dust filtration alongside capability to withstand rough treatment.

Key features of the new AristoMig units are the ESAB LogicPump, the TrueArc voltage system and the optional AristoSelector.

ELP automatically activates the machine's water pump when a water cooled gun is connected to the Aristofeed 30 or AristoFeed 48 wire feeder. Moreover, when an air-cooled gun is connected the water pump is shut down automatically. Similarly the TrueArc voltage control guarantees the correct arc voltage at the gun regardless of whether a 3 meter or 35 meter umbilical connection is used. In addition, AristoSelector allows easy switching between two or four wire feeds in applications where multiple wire dimensions or compositions are in use.

These features combine to provide unprecedented flexibility of application, a quality which carries over into the user interface options. Hot start and crater fill functions provide for reliable and smooth starts and ends to weld lines but four different control panels are available, culminating in the AristoPendant U8. This unit has memory for 99 sets of welding parameters and offers pre-programmed synergic lines alongside capability to store customised synergic lines for different material/gas combinations.

About: ESAB Group
As a logical step following his invention of the covered welding electrode back in 1904, Oscar Kjellberg founded ESAB. Since then, the company has constantly improved on existing methods and materials. At the same time, ESAB has developed new methods to meet the challenge presented by technological progress.

Today the company produces consumables and equipment for virtually every welding and cutting process and application.

100 years of continuous research, development and manufacture have made ESAB the world leader in welding, cutting and also an international supplier of products, know-how and services that none can match.
ESAB's subsidiaries and distributors worldwide are ready to handle your requirements - large and small alike.
