WIRE FEEDER FAMILY OFFERS WIDE CHOICE OF FEATURES

With the launch of the AristoFeed 30-4 and 48-4 Standard and Universal wire feeders, ESAB is providing users with a choice of machines with a wide range of functionality. All versions feature 2/4 stroke selection and adjustable burn-back time, though the variety of feeders and control panels enables customers to specify units with features extending from basic to highly sophisticated.

For improved welding performance, all of the AristoFeed units benefit from ESAB's TrueArcVoltage system that measures the true voltage across the arc, independent of factors such as the length of the connection cables or the type of welding gun. If customers wish to use a water-cooled gun, the ELP (ESAB LogicPump) facility automatically starts the water pump when welding commences, thereby preventing overheating.

For precision control of the wire, a four-wheel arrangement is used with wheels of 30 mm diameter for wires up to 1.6 mm, or 48 mm diameter for wires up to 2.4 mm. Three versions of the AristoFeeds are available: open (with exposed wire spool); enclosed (in which the wire spool is covered) or MPac (suitable for use with ESAB's 250 kg MarathonPacs of wire).

The range of functions available on each machine depends largely on the control panel selected. At the bottom end of the range is the M2 MMC (man machine communications) panel that simply has controls for 2/4 stroke selection and adjustable burn-back time, while the top-of-the-range AristoPendant U8 control panel has enough memory for 99 sets of parameters, over 100 pre-programmed synergic lines, a facility for creating additional synergic lines and many other functions for enhancing weld quality.

In addition to the broad range of feeders and controllers that can be specified, various options and accessories are available, such as wheel kits, lifting eyes, counterbalance devices, stands and remote controls.
