Guaranteed to produce a sharp and centred tip on a tungsten electrode every time, the new G-Tech Handy from the ESAB range of hand tools is a compact and portable tool that is very easy to use. It sharpens electrodes of any length down to a mere 15mm and incorporates an integral dust filter to collect potentially dangerous grinding dust. A welder can produce the final chamfer of the sharpened tip to provide improved ignition properties. The G-Tech Handy sharpens electrodes with diameters from 1.0 to 4.0 mm and continuous settings enable the welder to grind angles varying from 15 to 180° . The diamond grinding disc can be adjusted in three settings to provide a life which can be as high as 3,000 to 4,000 operations - triple the conventional figure. Rated at 850W, this hand tool weighs 2.5Kg and uses a 40 mm diameter diamond disc which operates at 32,000 RPM.
