ARISTOTIG HAS ADVANCED FEATURES FOR DEMANDING APPLICATIONS
01 March 2002 - ESAB Group

Designed for the most demanding applications, the ESAB Aristotig 160/200/255 power sources embody a host of features to cater for advanced welding with TIG and MMA in stainless and mild steels and most other materials. A built-in pulse device provides easier control of heat and the weld pool, whilst the lower heat input facility for thin materials gives improved welding results on materials down to 0.5mm plate thickness.

Advanced self-explanatory control panels on Aristotig 160, 200 and 255 allow all functions to be operated in an interactive manner, the ingenious design making settings very accurate and easy to enter.

Up to 4 sets of welding parameters can be stored in the memory to allow pre-programming, two for TIG and two for MMA, to be carried out, with switching between TIG programs being facilitated simply by clicking on the torch switch.

Different start modes can be selected to suit the welding environment. The HF start facility is used for normal applications, whilst the LIFTARC TM feature can be selected when working in sensitive electronic areas.

To increase the life of torch spares, a separate cooling unit, OCF-2L is available which cools the TIG torch to a convenient temperature. Aristotig 200 and 255 are both fully prepared to be quickly connected to the cooling unit.
