The ESAB Handy TIG 180 AC/DC power source that combines advanced features in a lightweight, easy to carry package weighing just 11.5kg, gives outstanding performance with real portability. Designed with the PFC technique to maximise the welding output available from a single-phase supply, Handy TIG 180 gives more power from the mains voltage supply than conventional inverters.

The ESAB Handy TIG 180 AC/DC power source that combines advanced features in a lightweight, easy to carry package weighing just 11.5kg, gives outstanding performance with real portability.

Designed with the PFC technique to maximise the welding output available from a single-phase supply, Handy TIG 180 gives more power from the mains voltage supply than conventional inverters.

The PFC technique also means the machine is less sensitive to unstable voltage supplies – making it possible to run Handy TIG from a generator for welding in any remote situation.

Built-in automatic features include a slope down function. This can be set as a percentage of the welding current and automatically changes when current is adjusted. Post gas time and welding current are also automatically changed together.

Critical functions, including time and gas pre flow, AC-balance and AC-frequency are set at the factory to suit the most common applications, making the unit ready for use without further setting up.

The 2 stroke and 4 stroke trigger action means there is no need to hold the trigger during welding, and for extra versatility, the power source can be equipped with remote controls or foot controls from the ESAB remote control range.
