Caddy Tig 150 DC, the highly portable 240v single phase TIG/MMA welder from ESAB, boasts a highly impressive performance specification in a very compact unit weighing in at only 5.5kg.

Designed to meet the demanding requirements of the repair and maintenance welding market, The Caddy Tig is fully compliant with IP23 for outdoor use and comes with a rugged damage resistant case equipped with carrying handle and shoulder strap.

The "Touch Start" facility means clean, simple and contamination-free starts, simply opening the gas valve and touching the tungsten electrode against the workpiece initiates a low flow of current. Lifting the tungsten strikes the arc and raises the current to the pre-set level.

The DC output of up to 150A means a range of materials such as nickel, copper and titanium can be welded with Caddy Tig 150, together with mild and stainless steels down to a thickness of 0.5mm.

The angled control panel which houses the current control knob and the TIG/MMA selector switch further helps ease of use. Quick connectors for the welding and earth return cables make polarity changing quick and easy and an easy-to-clean inlet filter simplifies servicing.

Manual metal arc welding with a wide range of coated electrodes up to 4.0mm diameter is also possible with the Caddy Tig, the automatic hot start facility, anti-stick and fold-back functions simplifying the welding process.
