ESAB'S NEW MIG WELDING EQUIPMENT
09 November 2000 - ESAB Group
| A new ESAB Guide gives full details and specifications of the comprehensive range of MIG welding equipment manufactured by the company, including power sources, wire feed units and MIG torches. |
The guide begins with the Smashweld 190 and 250 MIG composites. Designed for general purpose MIG welding of light and medium applications in mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel, the Smashweld machines are powered from a single phase 230v supply. Also featured are the LKB 265 and 320 composite MIG welders which are designed to satisfy the needs of the industrial, automotive, general repair and production markets. Detailed descriptions are given of the LAX 320 and 380 industrial power sources. Both units are designed to operate with the MEK range of 2 & 4 wheel drive wire feed units, and are available in a range of air-cooled (LAX 320), and air and water-cooled (LAX 380) packages; the high performance units provide up to 350A at 60% and up to 380A at 50% duty cycle (LAX 380). A fold-out chart in the centre of the guide shows all the options for the full range of machines, including wire feed units, extension cables, turning pieces and optional carriages available. The second half of the new publication is devoted to electronic industrial MIG welding equipment. The LAW 420 and LAW 520 welding rectifiers, being designed to cope with the requirements of heavy industry, are featured. The LAR 630 (MAGMA) thyristor-controlled rectifier with microprocessor management that gives many advantages along with excellent welding characteristics, completes the rectifier section. MIG torches in the PSF and PSF–W water-cooled series, in addition to PKB 250 and 400 series push-pull torches, and PKE 200 and 400 W electric push pull guns for semi-automatic machines, complete the guide which is available free from ESAB's Publicity Department, Telephone: 01992 659134, Fax: 01992 788053, e-mail: info@esab.co.uk
