Offering an enhanced resistance to wear, CastoTube comes in six standard sizes from 125mm to 275mm internal diameter with welded wear coatings from 3.0 to 4.5mm. Its uniform thickness makes it relatively light in comparison to rubber and ceramic-lined pipe alternatives. Whilst it comes with a chrome carbide weld overlay as standard, alternative alloys ? including complex carbides, are available to suit customer requirements. In addition, its wear protection means that it can last up to twenty times longer than conventional steels as recently proved during recent ASTM G65 wear tests. "CastoTube offers significantly reduced maintenance costs by extending service life cycles, and customized tubes mean that damaged pipes can be replaced quickly and easily," commented Technical Director Warren Lewis. As well as standard straight pipes, CastoTube can be fabricated to form bends and T-joints, and can be joined using conventional techniques such as flanges.
