With the growth in demand for fast, easy-to-use wear protection Eutectic UK now introduce the patented one-step CastoStud 600 wear protection system. Having prided itself on innovative solutions for tough environments, the CastoStud 600 created by Eutectic is portable and can be used in environments where in situ wear protection was previously impossible. The system can be applied on any steel base and consists of a power source, torch and a choice of either sintered carbide or hardened steel studs Ideal for use in quarries where equipment suffers from high levels of abrasion or impact, the patented studs protect the surface by blocking abrasive particles from wearing the surface using both the stud and the "self-protecting" effect as particles gather between the studs. Quick and easy to use, it significantly reduces downtime and skilled labour costs whilst increasing the lifetime of equipment; simply clean the surface to be protected, connect up the system, insert the stud, position the gun and pull the trigger. It couldn?t be any simpler! "Customers require easy to use protection against high wear as there is both a shortage of skilled labour and a requirement to keep maintenance and repair costs to a minimum," comments Jon Burke, Marketing Manager with Eutectic UK. "What we now offer is a highly flexible system designed to protect against even the heaviest of abrasion applications."
