Matrox Graphics, the leading manufacturer of graphics solutions for professionals, announces the release of a new display driver offering users of LCD panels support for portrait orientation through its Matrox Multi-Pivot feature. The new 1.10.00 HF display driver offers LCD panel users the flexibility to use portrait orientation on two displays or on a single display in combination with typical landscape orientation. Portrait orientation minimizes the need to scroll and increases productivity by allowing users to see more information on their displays. The 1.10.00 HF display driver is available for Millennium P-Series and Matrox Parhelia Series product lines and supports Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft Windows XP operating systems. "Matrox is pleased to offer Millennium P-Series and Parhelia Series customers with a display driver that enables portrait orientation on LCD panels," says Jean-Levy Beaudoin, business development manager, Matrox Graphics. "Through the Matrox Multi-Pivot feature, LCD users can take advantage of the extra space that portrait orientation offers over typical landscape orientation." Matrox Multi-Pivot enables the user to see more content on their display without the need to constantly scroll from top to bottom. This eliminates inefficiencies and leaves more time to complete tasks. In addition, Matrox Multi-Pivot can free up desk space as a one or both displays are rotated vertically as opposed to horizontally as seen with traditional landscape displays. Portrait orientation can be used in a variety of work environments such as call centers, insurance companies and law firms. The benefits of Matrox Multi-Pivot can best be appreciated when viewing legal documents, insurance forms, web pages, PDFs and e-mail as you can see more while scrolling less.
