From September 9-13, a record number 42 815 attendees converged at IBC 2005, the leading European event for professionals involved in the creation, management and delivery of entertainment content. Here, professionals witnessed the multi-display capabilities of the Matrox Parhelia APVe for creative professionals and the Matrox Parhelia DL256 PCI for dual-link digital flat panels.

IBC attendees were pleasantly surprised to see the Parhelia APVe PCI Express x16 graphics card provide the optimal display configuration for video professionals: Dual-display plus simultaneous video output. For professionals working with HDV, DV content or both, this configuration can provide high-quality YPbPr analog component output on an HD monitor while also having the option of outputting to an SDTV for DV projects. Attendees also got to see the Parhelia DL256 PCI card running the Apple Cinema 30" Display for Windows. This 256MB PCI graphics card - engineered to power high-resolution dual link digital flat panels - and can provide more on-screen information with ultra-sharp, flicker-free image quality for significantly enhanced visualization. With resolution support of up to 2560x1600, this card enables users to simultaneously connect a second VGA display to the Apple Cinema for additional desktop space or connect to a video monitor to preview the editing project in realtime.
