IMAGE SYSTEMS TO BUNDLE MATROX AURORAVX SERIES DISPLAY CONTROLLER BOARDS WITH MEDICAL DISPLAYS
Matrox Graphics Inc., today announced that Image Systems will bundle the Matrox AuroraVX Series display controller boards with its High-Resolution LCD medical displays with Calibration Feedback System©. Image Systems displays paired with the Matrox AuroraVX2mp can be seen in action in the Matrox booth (#1219), at SCAR 2005 in Orlando, Florida. Matrox solutions for medical imaging will also be shown in Image Systems' booth (#300) and elsewhere on the show floor. Including the Matrox AuroraVX2mp and AuroraVX3mp , the AuroraVX Series of display controller boards maximize display output options, powering up to three displays from a single low-profile PCI Express board. The AuroraVX Series supports a Navigation Console up to a resolution of 2 MP. Additionally, the AuroraVX2mp supports two additional Twin Imaging Displays of up to 2 MP each, while the AuroraVX3mp supports two additional TIDs of up to 3 MP each. "Our customers have been anxiously awaiting our release of this solution with its enhanced capabilities," says Dennis Stollenwerk, vice president of sales, Image Systems Corporation. "The performance improvement will be apparent when running CINE loops, loading multiple images, window leveling, etc." Image Systems displays combine the high performance of the latest Matrox boards with a complete calibration solution. Image Systems Corp.'s CFS provides the features necessary for calibrating and maintaining the image quality of medical displays. The software can be run in local mode, across a network, or across multiple sites to view, calibrate, monitor and manage hardware and software deployed throughout a healthcare institution. Front retractable, along with rear backlight sensors, ensure hands-free conformance to DICOM Part 14 standards. Equipped with Hardware Pivot, the AuroraVX Series of display controller boards is capable of driving various combinations of color and grayscale displays in portrait and/or landscape modes, and features an 8- or 10-bit display output for 256 or 1024 simultaneous shades of gray, depending on the available displays attached. Providing medical imaging professionals with versatile multi-display options, the AuroraVX Series offers excellent performance and stunning image quality, ideal for Picture Archiving and Communications Systems, and a variety of modalities such as X-Ray imaging, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Digital Radiography. "Matrox worked very closely with Image Systems to ensure that CFS© was fine-tuned to work with the Matrox AuroraVX Series," says George Rigas, business development manager, medical imaging, Matrox Graphics Inc.
