"We are pleased to have validated and to bundle the Matrox RAD PCI and RAD PCIe display controller boards with our 2 MP and 3 MP medical displays," says Mark Yoshida, product marketing manager, TOTOKU North America Inc. "The Matrox RAD PCI and RAD PCIe boards offer the feature-set and functionality our customers have been requesting."

Continuing Matrox's world-renowned tradition of imaging excellence, the RAD PCI Express display controller boards offer dual-output support of up to 3 MP grayscale or color, analog or digital displays respectively, and are equipped with Hardware Pivot for smooth and accelerated portrait image displays. The latest PCI Express boards are also capable of driving various combinations of color and grayscale displays in stretched or independent modes, and feature Matrox's real-time grayscale processing technology, ExtendiGrayŠ. For grayscale displays, one feature of ExtendiGrayŠ is the concurrent execution of 8-bit grayscale applications alongside color Microsoft Windows desktop applications such as Word and Internet Explorer without any desktop artifacts. A second feature is the ability to convert color displays to grayscale.

"Matrox is pleased to continue working with TOTOKU to offer new solutions such as the Matrox RAD PCI and RAD PCIe display controller boards with TOTOKU medical displays," says George Rigas, business development manager, medical imaging, Matrox Graphics Inc. "With the choices and features afforded by the PCI and PCIe boards, customers will be able to meet their demanding needs, while experiencing the superb image quality Matrox is known for."
