NEW DISPLAY TECHNOLOGY TO BE DEMONSTRATED AT THIS YEAR'S RSNA

The Matrox MED Series of display controller boards brings advanced functionality and flexibility to the medical imaging market with extensive multi-monitor support, pristine image quality and robust drivers. Matrox Graphics Inc., the leading manufacturer of professional graphics solutions, and FIMI Philips have collaborated to bring the new SmartPivot display technology by FIMI Philips in its PACS range of LCD monitors for the medical imaging market, and will be demonstrated in FIMI Philips' and Matrox's booths at this year's RSNA, in Chicago. FIMI Philips is already bundling the Matrox MED Series 10-bit display controller boards with its new displays.

The Matrox MED Series of display controller boards represents a top-to-bottom solution capable of a scope of display configurations for landscape and portrait modes ranging from two through five megapixels, such as the MED2mp-DVI, MED3mp-DVI and MED5mp-DVI, and includes a variety of grayscale and color models with analog and digital display support. Designed to meet the demanding needs of medical imaging professionals, the MED Series boards come equipped with Matrox's multi-monitor features, such as Multi-Pivot/Portrait and MultiDesk, and the ultimate in visual quality and reliability.

Building on its current line of flat panels, FIMI Philips' 2 MP, 3 MP and 5 MP flat panels are capable of displaying images at a maximum resolution of 2560x2048, and boast features such as automatic grayscale correction, built-in 10-bit look up tables, remote control and maintenance.
