Based on the Matrox G550 graphics controller, the new Matrox Meteor-II/Display graphics adapter card for the CompactPCI form factor delivers exceptional graphics performance, product stability and is ideal for industrial applications requiring live video display. Boasting third-generation DualHead display technology, 32 MB high-speed double data rate memory, TV output and resolutions of up to 2048 x 1536 in 32-bit colour, the Matrox G550 graphics controller is a leading 2D accelerator with 3D capabilities. The 256-bit internal architecture and high-speed 64-bit memory interface offers exceptional performance for 2D graphics including Windows GDI and DirectDraw functions. Plus, UltraSharp RAMDAC technology provides a crisp high-fidelity analog output. Pioneered by Matrox, DualHead technology delivers a cost-effective and versatile solution for applications requiring two independent video outputs. The Matrox Meteor-II/Display comes in three different configurations that make use of DualHead technology: two analog VGA outputs, two digital VGA outputs and one analog VGA output with one digital VGA output. A single VGA output can also be configured for the standard NTSC/PAL video formats. The Matrox Meteor-II/Display is backed by robust Windows display drivers that contribute to reduced downtime, thanks to extensive in-house reliability testing and regular certification by the Microsoft Windows Hardware Quality Laboratory .
