ROHM AND HAAS'S NEW DURAGREEN METAL-FREE FLOOR POLISH FORMULATION MEETS GREEN SEAL REQUIREMENTS

High traffic floors in supermarkets, schools, government facilities and hospitals now have an environmentally-preferred floor polish option that doesn't sacrifice performance for environmental standards. Rohm and Haas's DURAGREEN Metal-Free floor polish formulation, MF 1-2, has received verification from Green Seal, Inc. that it meets all the environmental and performance criteria of the Green Seal Environmental Standard for Floor Care products (GS-40). DURAGREEN MF 1 is a metal-free floor finish polymer with a novel chemistry designed to deliver high gloss, excellent durability and detergent resistance. In addition, DURAGREEN MF 1-2 floor polish is virtually odor-free which makes it ideally suited for patient care facilities, such as hospitals and nursing homes.

Michael Locco, Marketing Manager for Rohm and Haas's line of Floor Care products says the product's excellent performance also means less frequent need for burnishing, recoating and stripping. "Detergent auto-scrubbing and burnishing can put any industrial floor polish to the test. We subjected floors with DURAGREEN MF 1 to six weeks of constant traffic and daily auto-scrubbing and burnishing. DURAGREEN MF 1 exhibited very little marking and scratching and the gloss retention was exceptional." He adds, "This is very different performance for a metal-free polish and we are pleased that we can offer the performance the market needs and expects in an environmentally-preferred formulation."

Rohm and Haas has developed starting point formulations to enable customers to easily evaluate the premium performance of the DURAGREEN MF 1 polymer.

Locco adds, "We're always working on new formulations so we can offer customers choice to address the changing needs in the marketplace."

DURAGREEN MF 1 is part of the DURAPLUS line of high-performance floor care products offered by Rohm and Haas.
