ROHM AND HAAS PRESENTS NEW INNOVATIONS HOME

The Rohm and Haas Company and Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia presented a family with the keys to a brand new home during a dedication ceremony today in North Philadelphia. The owner will be able to move in just in time to celebrate the holidays.

The Innovations Home marks the first time that Rohm and Haas has partnered with Delaware Valley Habitat for Humanity and its Philadelphia affiliate as the signature sponsor of a Habitat house. As the signature sponsor, Rohm and Haas was responsible for providing key financial support, employee volunteers and multiple business products for one complete home, making this the biggest Habitat project the company has undertaken.

"Rohm and Haas has a longstanding relationship with Habitat for Humanity over the years," said Luis Fernandez, Vice President of Architectural and Functional Coatings for Rohm and Haas. "We are especially proud of the Innovations Home because it exemplifies the power of partnership and the success that can be achieved from true collaboration with our customers, employees and Habitat for Humanity."

The home is also a tangible display of Rohm and Haas' Responsible Neighbor Community Programs, which work to advance the economic, social and environmental quality of life in the communities where the company operates and where its employees live through giving, volunteerism and community dialogue.

A collaborative effort between Rohm and Haas, its customers, employee volunteers and Habitat for Humanity, the Innovations Home is so named because it integrates construction materials that are cost-efficient, technologically advanced and offer higher performance. Just as important, these products are environmentally friendly and require significantly less maintenance and upkeep than more traditional materials.

"Our experience in partnering with Rohm and Haas on the Innovations Home has been very rewarding," said Tim Block, Executive Director of Philadelphia Habitat for Humanity. "The immediate surrounding community will reap the benefits of this successful collaborative effort that will extend long past the dedication of the completed home."

Materials for the home were generously donated by Rohm and Haas, affiliate organizations and its building and construction customers including Vycom (AZEK Trimboard), CertainTeed, GAF, Home Safety Council, Jerith, Johns Manville, MAB Paints, Thermapan (Structural Insulated Panels) and USG Corp.
