Rohm and Haas's new microbicide, Rocima 355, combines two highly effective mildewcides to bring coatings' manufacturers superior protection for their water-based products. The synergistic combination of the active ingredients in Rocima 355 provides coatings' formulators with an opportunity to upgrade their dry film protection. With Rocima 355, coatings applied to wood and other substrates are protected from a wide range of fungi and algae. 'This is a real advantage for coatings' producers because more and more coatings are being applied to inorganic building materials,' says David Sutton, market manager for Rohm and Haas. 'In addition, Rocima 355 contributes less than 1 gram of VOC content per liter to the final formulation even at the maximum labeled use rate.'Rocima 355 is available immediately for use in water-based paints, semi-transparent and solid stains, water-soluble and water-dispersed adhesives and building materials such as elastomeric roof coatings, masonry coatings, mastics, caulks, sealants, stucco and grouting. |
