ROHM AND HAAS COMPANY HAS LAUNCHED AN E-COMMERCE SOLUTION FOR ITS BUSINESS IN LATIN AMERICA

Rohm and Haas Company has launched an e-commerce solution for its business in Latin America, which has been developed and hosted by Citibank e-Business, a unit of Citigroup, the premier global financial services company.

This initiative, www.LatinRohmHaas.com, allows the company to enhance and streamline its customer relationships by utilizing the Web to provide real-time information about its products and services. It also offers customers the ability to order products, track order status, and consult invoices and accounts payable 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This service is first being offered to existing customers in Brazil, and will soon be available more broadly throughout the region.

Rohm and Haas is utilizing Citibank's innovative business-to-business CitiCommerce.com solution for this project, which helps customers support their sales processes, distribution networks, delivery tracking, ordering, invoicing and collection systems. In this initial stage of the process, Rohm and Haas is using portions of the CitiCommerce.com solution to automate and integrate its sales, distribution and financial network among its customers, sales representatives and distributors. In later stages, Rohm and Haas intends to add Citibank's Internet-based financing and credit solutions to further improve efficiency and service along its entire value chain.
