Solvay Advanced Polymers Llc announced today that it will increase the price of Amodel polyphthalamide by 3-6%, effective 17 May 2004. 'We believe that this business decision is a direct reflection of the economic forces that have impacted the plastics industry over that past 18 months,' said Matt Kampling, Business Manager for Solvay Advanced Polymers' Amodel business unit. 'We have a number of ongoing activities in support of the business and we must ensure we have acceptable margins to sustain these efforts.'
