Global innovation technology company, 3M, today announced the launch of its' web-based game which combines mouse interaction with moving video. The new game demonstrates how 3M's diverse technologies and products touch nearly every aspect of modern life. The game called 3M Everywhere, takes players on a virtual business trip through London to catch the Eurostar train. On the journey a business traveller passes 15 different 3M applications or products and players have to click the hotspots to identify them. The game is available at www.3Meverywhere.com and qualifying players who find at least 10 3M products will have the chance to win a range of technology-based prizes including iPods, PSPs and Digital Cameras. Those who find all 15 will qualify for major prizes that include iMac G5s, Bose Acoustic Wave Music Systems and Complete Phillips TV Sound Systems. 3M Everywhere is primarily aimed at people working in purchasing, engineering, production and health & safety. However, it is hoped that the game will also prove popular with the wider business community by demonstrating how 3M is continuously finding new ways to solve problems for a diverse range of markets. These markets include consumer and office, display and graphics, electronics and telecommunications, safety, security & protection services, health care, industrial and transportation markets. Andrew Lock, marketing communications manager, explained; "Many people are familiar with one or two 3M products, but have no idea of the scale of our business and the number of different markets we supply. 3M products can be found in our cars, homes, phones and clothes as well as on the roads, at constructions sites and even on the Eurostar itself. This new game helps to bring this alive in a fun and exciting manner."
