NEW QUALITY PLASTIC CONVERTER FILMS FOR ALCAN

Alcan Inc. announces that its Packaging Food Europe sector will be exhibiting the Company's new sophisticated high barrier and sealing films. "Alcan Packaging is one of the leading manufacturing suppliers of plastic films for the converting industry," said Thomas Morin, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Alcan Packaging Food Europe. "The production of plastic films is one of Alcan Packaging Food Europe's specialties. These films are specifically formulated to fit end-users' needs, for all types of flexible packaging (e.g. VFFS, HFFS)," he added.

Alcan Packaging offers its customers a market advantage with innovative plastic films solutions such as: multi-support peelable, easy-tear, retort, high clarity, modified surface aspect, folding, metallized, striped and embossed films. These films are ideally suited for lamination, embossing and sleeve applications.

Also on display are Alcan Packaging's SiOx coated CERAMIS films, which combine optical clarity with excellent barrier properties. The films serve as the barrier layer in lidding and pouch laminates as well as other high tech products. All film types are "water clear" and have a high mechanical resistance.
