Husky Injection Molding Systems has purchased the exclusive rights to engineering drawings and patents for PET moulds from Zygo Mould Limited.

Husky Injection Molding Systems has purchased the exclusive rights to engineering drawings and patents for PET moulds from Zygo Mould Limited. Customers with Zygo moulds can rely on Husky for their service and support needs including refurbishments, conversions, and replacement components. The purchase is part of Husky’s continuing commitment to being the leading provider of support services to the PET pre-form industry.

Zygo Mould, based in Toronto, Ontario, closed its doors this past summer after 22 years in business. The company designed and manufactured PET moulds, closure moulds, hot runners, thin-wall and technical moulds.

This support for Zygo’s former customers comes in addition to Husky’s already strong market presence in the PET sector. Husky’s existing PET business includes a wide range of Index machines and pre-form moulds from 2 to 144 cavities. Husky also offers a wide range of services, including mould refurbishing, mould conversions, bottle development and pre-form optimisation. With dedicated resources and a focus on PET support, Husky can help customers around the world improve pre-form quality and increase operating efficiency.
