RTP COMPANY HAS ESTABLISHED STATE-OF-THE-ART COLOR LAB AND PRODUCTION CAPABILITIES
"Our Suzhou laboratory offers the same level of service to our customers in China as our laboratories in North America and Europe," said Jean Sirois, General Manager, Color Division at RTP Company. "With Suzhou being networked into our Global Color Matching Library, and being in constant communication with our other facilities, we can offer the same formulations to global customers in record time." Centurion Wireless Technologies is a multi-national customer that benefits by having access to the RTP Company Global Color Matching Library, especially since its antenna products are often developed on one continent and manufactured on another. "RTP Company having full-service color lab facilities in China will be a big boost for us at Centurion," said Jon Thorson, Purchasing Manager at Centurion. "We need the shortest lead-times possible for matching color so rapid response is a must." The Suzhou facility is also providing a solution to supply issues and performance challenges of another multi-national customer, Sloan Valve Company. "Regardless of where in the world the compounds come from, maintaining consistency in the optical properties of the material is very important," said Peter Jahrling, Director of Engineering at Sloan. "Since RTP Company's quality is so precise, having materials manufactured at the RTP facility in Suzhou will yield piece-of-mind about the component's performance." RTP Company offers color in the customer's preferred mode, without bias, whether its masterbatches, cube blends, or precolored compounds. Colors can be custom formulated to meet exact appearance targets, or selected from standard color pallets. UniColor Universal masterbatches offers a solution to processors that want one color masterbatch product for different polymers. The Suzhou operation is the latest expansion for the RTP Company Global Color Division. In 2005, a new color lab in Singapore was established and substantial investments were made in the Fort Worth, Texas and Winona, Minnesota color development labs and manufacturing operations. New color lab managers were also hired in Winona, Suzhou, and Singapore to complement the existing managerial staff. In addition, Color Account Managers specializing masterbatches and precolored products were hired in North America, Asia, and Europe.
