MAJOR ORDER FOR POLYMER TESTING IN CHINA

AMETEK/Lloyd Instruments is delighted to announce that a major multinational company based in the People's Republic of China has placed orders for nine polymer testing instruments and accessories from its Davenport range.

The polymer testing instrumentation ordered allows a comprehensive quality testing program for polymers to be carried out to a variety of internationally recognised ASTM and EN ISO standards. The order includes Falling Dart Impact Testers to determine the impact resistance of thin flexible plastic films and HDT/VICAT testers for the measurement of VICAT softening temperature and heat deflection temperature of thermoplastic materials. Testing using the HDT/VICAT instruments is fully automated using Lloyd Instruments' renowned NEXYGEN software for advanced control and analysis.

Also purchased were a number of Density Gradient Column Systems for the absolute and comparative determination of the density of plastic materials and a Friction Tester for the accurate measurement of the coefficient of friction of plastic films.

Lloyd Instruments Davenport range is one of the most comprehensive available for polymer materials testing and also includes instruments for measuring melt flow index as well as a melt viscometer. The melt viscometer offers a solvent-free method for routine testing of the melt viscosity and intrinsic viscosity of PET. An Inclined Plane friction tester is also available. AMETEK/Lloyd Instruments also supply a wide range of universal test equipment for tensile and compression testing up to 300 kN force.
