AUTOTYPE LAUNCHES ANTI-GRAFFITI ‘ONE SIZE FITS ALL’ FILMS

Autotype has launched a new range of high performance films, called Sigmagraf UVjet, which, for the first time, enable printers to purchase one type of film that can be used for floor graphics, indoor panels or outdoor display purposes.

The new films utilise Autotype's proven unique hard surface coating and ink primer technologies to produce a range of highly versatile, high clarity products that enable printers to make significant reductions in stock holding and production costs.

The new high performance films offer exceptional optical clarity allowing the creation of highly durable, stunning displays offering maximum photo-realism and impact. This makes them ideal for a wide range of applications including signage, POS materials, in-store decoration and cladding, facias and floor graphics. In addition, the new films incorporate anti-graffiti properties making them particularly suitable for use in public areas, where display products are often subjected to vandalism.

The anti-graffiti properties have been achieved thanks to a specialist coating on the outer surface of the Sigmagraf films to make it scratch, chemical and solvent resistant, thereby fully protecting the image. If grafitti is sprayed
or painted onto the film, it can be easily removed using solvents or even products as harsh as wire wool without affecting the film surface or the clarity of the image.

In addition, both Sigmagraf UVjet and Sigmagraf UVjet Outdoor have been developed to ensure optimum performance on the latest flat bed UV digital presses including Inca, Vutek, and Zund. The films can be digitally printed using a variety of inks, including aqueous dye, pigments, UV curing and eco solvents and can also be screen printed, giving users the flexibility to use the same media for long or short run campaigns.
