Sikkens is launching Mixit Basic, a new CD-based colour formulation retrieval system. Available free to all Sikkens customers, Mixit Basic replaces the old, time-consuming microfiche system. Mixit Basic is easy to use making colour searches fast and flexible.

Users enter vehicle make and colour code and the software retrieves the correct formulation. Mixit Basic also provides customers with the Sikkens ColorScala chip number enabling them to quickly find the visual representation of the colour they need to mix.

“We developed Mixit Basic in response to our customer needs as microfiche formula retrieval has become outdated and cumbersome to use,” commented Ed Hilborne, Sikkens Product Manager. “Mixit Basic allows our customers to sample the new CD technology without the need for major investment in IT hardware.

Mixit is also available as a full paint management system called Mixit 2 with extensive reporting functions, enabling customers to calculate cost per job, manage stocks and record paint usage per job.
