Leading industry luminaries and high-profile customers will cover state- of- the-art processes and new collaboration tools for distributed teams. Moldflow Corporation, the leading global provider of design through manufacturing solutions for the plastics injection molding industry, has released its plan for the upcoming International Plastics Showcase. The Moldflow will be feature well-known plastics consultants John Klees and John Bozzelli as well as leading author Dr. Robert Malloy. The company will be showcasing leading edge applications of Moldflow technology by Moldflow customers in the automotive, consumer, medical and industrial spaces, and showing new releases of market leading simulation and control products. Moldflow will distribute its new viewer, Moldflow Communicator, that allows all stakeholders in the injection molding process to open analyses done in Moldflow Plastics Insight. This free application can be used by anyone with a Windows PC to visualize, quantify and compare results. It has been described as “a major move forward” and its dynamic online help as “a treatise on molding.” The company will also be showing a new technology called Simalink that allows molders and designers to work together to optimize the design-through-manufacture process, whether they are onsite or distributed throughout the world. The booth will feature demonstrations of new releases of MPI, and Moldflow Plastics Advisers on the simulation side, that now offer faster analyses, and enhanced workflow, for companies wanting to reduce cycle time, lower material cost, and improve part quality, while they confirm manufacturability. For the shop floor, Moldflow will also showcase the latest versions of the Altanium hot runner process controller, Shotscope for process monitoring, and MPX for setup and production optimization. Altanium is the world’s top-selling control system for hot runners, and Shotscope and MPX bring setup, optimization and monitoring functions on the same hardware.
