Rohm and Haas Powder Coatings is increasing the prices for polyester, epoxy and hybrid-based powder coatings to all end market segments, because of the continuation of unprecedented increases in the cost of raw material feedstocks. The increases will be 6% for polyester-based products, 8% for epoxy-polyester based products, and 12% for epoxy-based products, effective 1 January 2005. 'Current external market factors affecting our supply chain necessitate these drastic actions; we cannot withstand these increases any longer,' said M. Reggie Horne, vice president and Director of Rohm and Haas Powder Coatings. 'We are doing everything we can to minimize the impact to our customers by leveraging our global supply position and strong purchasing power to support the portfolio.' Rohm and Haas Powder Coatings previously announced a price increase on all products on 10 July 2004.
