We shall not only care about elevating their knowledge on science, but also on their safety and health issues. The Safe Kids @ Home Education Campaign organized by Honeywell and Safe Kids China effectively assist schools for expanding home safety education programs”, Mr. Yang Qingbo, Executive from Xian Activity Center stated. "Every year there are 1 million children died from accidents globally that their lives could have been saved; behind each one of those accidents, many of the children were left handicapped forever. We shall all participate in the promotion of children accidents prevention for creating a safe environment for prevention purpose. Safe Kids China also encourages more corporates to participate in children safety education program". Stated Monica Cui, Director from Safe Kids China. Accidental injury is the leading cause of child deaths in China. In urban areas, 40 percent of injuries occur at home, most frequently during holiday and vacation periods. Injuries can be avoided. Safe Kids China has introduced a successful worldwide teaching model to help prevent child injury. With the support of Chengdu Children’s Palace and Honeywell, the Safe Kids@Home campaign has succeeded in educating children on fire prevention and other potential hazards at home.
