Honeywell Wintriss today introduced Line Efficiency Tracking Software, a new product that enables customers to automatically collect critical production information from their manufacturing machinery including metrics required to calculate Overall Equipment Effectiveness. Because of its modular, open-architecture design, LETS can be configured to communicate with virtually any piece of production equipment. LETS is a state-of-the-art package that is scalable and flexible. It comes factory-configured to communicate directly over Ethernet with the Wintriss SmartPAC 1 and SmartPAC 2. In addition, its OPC Server features a wide range of available "plug-in" device drivers and components for the industrial market. LETS automatically logs machine information in a Microsoft SQL database that can easily feed critical parameters to ERP or Manufacturing Execution Systems software. LETS’s powerful reporting capability allows customers to schedule automatic generation of a variety of production and OEE reports, which can be printed, sent via e-mail, or posted on the plant or company intranet. Report output can be filtered by shift, job, machine, tool or part, and operator. The browser-based Factory Viewer enables customers to see the status of all machines in a plant in real time. An overview screen displays the current status of each machine and the parts count, current tool, and estimated time until job completion. Through simple mouse clicks, users can bring up detailed job, downtime, and job history information for a selected machine including an event log that displays events and errors. The Factory Viewer also maintains an accurate total hits count, with preset, for every tool in the plant, even if the tool runs in multiple machines.
