The University of Texas at Austin’s 15 career services offices have collaborated to create “HireTexas,” an online information resource to all employer services offered by career services offices across campus. HireTexas includes direct links to the university’s two primary online job boards, AccessUT and HireALonghorn. It also has a list of all university career fairs and links to all university career services offices. It provides information on the on-campus interviewing, resume referral and college-specific job/internship posting services available through each career services office. “The University of Texas at Austin is a big place offering a lot of recruiting options available for employers,” said Matt Berndt, director of career services in the College of Communication. “Frankly, it can be a little overwhelming. HireTexas was created to help employers navigate their way through our services and select those that best match their recruiting needs and priorities. Hopefully, HireTexas will make it easier for employers to hire Texas students and graduates.”
