Drew Marine, a business group within Ashland Specialty Chemical, has released Version 2.2 of ‘The Complete Drew Marine’. This CD-ROM contains product data sheets (PDS) and material safety data sheets (MSDS) for chemicals; welding and refrigeration products; fire, safety and rescue products; coating products; and sealing products. The MSDS are now available in 17 languages, including English (US), English (UK), Danish, Dutch, French, Finnish, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish. This allows multi-language users easy access to important safety information. Both MSDS and PDS are provided in Adobe Reader format (pdf). The CD-ROM is updated annually and includes a convenient search engine for retrieving information based upon application or product. 'Our objective is to allow free and easy access to important safety information in as many languages as possible, and in a PDF format universally accessible for viewing or printing,' says Nels Hendrickson, Drew Marine's Vice President Of Marketing. The CD-ROM requires the following computer hardware and software to operate: *120 MHz or higher processor (166 MHz recommended), a pointing device, and a CD-ROM drive; *Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows Millennium, or Windows XP Software: *Adobe Reader 4.0 or above *16 Mb of RAM for Windows 95 or later (24 Mb is recommended), 24 Mb of RAM for Windows NT Workstation 4.0 (32 Mb is recommended) and 32 Mb of RAM for Windows 2000/Millennium/XP; *250 Mb of free hard disk space (if copying library to hard drive), or 1 Mb if installing only the software; and *a VGA monitor (SVGA is recommended).
