The International Welding and Cutting Fair, a showcase for ESAB's process and product development. Many of our customers in the Middle East are using a strip cladding process or planning to do so in the future. Due to this, Martin Kubenka, Group Product Manager for Alloyed and Special Sub Arc Consumables, together with other ESAB representatives, visited nineteen companies in UAE and KSA. The
aim was to demonstrate how ESAB can assist to companies with technical knowledge, supply of equipment and consumables. Both the submerged arc strip cladding process and the electroslag strip cladding process were presented and
discussed. A rutile flux that gives a weld metal impact properties down to -20°C, with wires OK Autrod 12.20 (EM12) and OK Autrod 12.22 (EM12K). The main advantage with OK Flux 10.88 is its high tolerance against rust and mill scale on the base material. Applications: General constructions, beam fabrications (fillet welds), pressure vessels, ship building, etc.
