NEW SELF CONTAINED AIR FILTRATION UNITS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH WELDING & GRINDING/SPRAYING HELMET

Two new self contained air filtration units, developed for compatibility with ESAB’s range of welding and grinding/spraying helmets, are now available. The Air 140 and Air 175 are available pre-assembled to Eyetech, Albatross and Grinding/Spraying helmets, or unassembled or as an aftermarket system for retrofit.

As the names imply, Air 140 can sustain a flow rate of 140 litres per minute whilst Air 175 offers 175 litres per minute. Air 140 is approved to EN146/2 and is available with a choice of eight or twelve hour duration rechargeable battery packs.

Air 175 incorporates a double alarm function for clogged filter and low battery and is approved to EN12941/2. It is supplied with an eight hour duration battery pack.

Both units feature a particulate filter comprising a P3 filter with pre-filter and are mounted on a waist belt with comfort pad. Rechargeable battery packs and chargers are included in the package. Depending on the application either fresh air or carbon filters can be fitted and the modular format of the systems allows easy replacement of worn or damaged components.
