ESAB has introduced the OrigoMag range of step-regulated MIG/MAG welding power sources for those who want high-quality equipment for producing good results on less complex tasks. The key to the success of the single-phase OrigoMag C150, C170, C200 and C250 machines is a Power Smoothing Device that delivers performance comparable with that of three-phase machines. Other features include easy change-of-polarity that allows the machines to be used with either conventional solid wires or self-shielding cored wires of diameter 0.6 to 1.2mm. With multi-step voltage switches and potentiometers for wire speed adjustment, the machines are very easy to set up for each task, even by those who use the machines infrequently. In addition, the burnback time and spot welding time can be set on the C170, C200 and C250 models. All models benefit from a built-in wire feeder, and the power sources are delivered complete with a versatile, ergonomically-designed ESAB MX torch - which can be specified with a standard, straight or conical nozzle. Aimed at low and medium duty applications in steel, stainless steel and aluminium, the OrigoMag power sources are suitable for use by repair shops, producers of light fabrications, farmers and many others. If required, the C170, C200 and C250 models can be equipped with an optional digital V/A meter and a transformer for a CO2 heater.
