SECRET OF PERFECT PINT IS IN THE SURESERVE CELLAR
14 September 2006 - BOC Gases

Over 8000 visitors to Northern Restaurant and Bar will get the chance to taste the 'perfect' pint and at the same time see how it was 'engineered' - courtesy of a BOC Sureserve* working cellar which will be on view and powering the main bar at GMEX.

First time exhibitor and main bar sponsor BOC Sureserve is the UK's leading supplier of carbon dioxide and carbon dioxide/nitrogen mixtures for the hospitality sector. Their main bar cellar will be using BOC Sureserve’s Sureblend mixing system, specially designed to deliver consistently high quality pints to medium to large pub and restaurant outlets. Sureblend provides a range of three gas mixtures from only two gases (Suremix 30 and CO2) and is capable of delivering 60 pints a minute, more than enough to deliver an expected 2000 pints over the two days of the exhibition.

BOC Sureserve product manager, Reena Jobanputra said: "A well managed cellar is at the core of every successful pub or restaurant and contributes to the overall customer experience. This ensures a safe environment and the right mix of gases and appropriate dispensing equipment, which is essential to the success of any hospitality outlet.”

“The main bar at GMEX is an ideal opportunity for anyone in the industry - whether they’re a corporate or independent operator - to see cutting edge dispensing technology at first hand. BOC Sureserve’s dispense technologies, especially those using larger cylinders, help to dispense beer and soft drinks safely at a faster rate, reduce fobbing and saving time by reducing the hassle of cylinder changeovers.”

Said Jobanputra: “Serving the hospitality trade is all about customer satisfaction, ease of ordering and enabling trade customers to get what they need, when they need it from a one-stop-shop supplier.”

BOC Sureserve’s team of cellar experts will be showcasing the full state-of-the-art range of gas dispense systems Sureblend, Sureblend Ultra, Cellasure and Gasgen, as well as cellar management services, confined spaces risk assessment packages, the Cellaguard CO2 monitor alarm and Cellawise safety training schemes.

The team will also be demonstrating BOC Sureserve’s range of other hospitality services, including helium and balloons for decorating bars and restaurants for special events and the newest range of cylinder propane and patio appliances. An alliance with Calor Limited enables BOC Sureserve to supply licensees with Calor propane cylinders in sizes ranging from 13kg to 47kg, as well as a select range of patio heaters and BBQs. Visitors to the BOC Sureserve stand will go into a daily prize draw to win one of a selection of patio appliances.

Said Jobanputra: “The bustling restaurant, club, pub and bar scene in the north has seen Northern Restaurant and Bar become a major event in the hospitality calendar. With over half our business in this region the two days at GMEX are a great opportunity for BOC Sureserve to demonstrate its market leading capabilities.”
